Workboats Consulting is pleased to announce that we have been hired by a highly reputable agency in the Middle East. Our task is to consult on the design and construction of a vessel maintenance base focused on the MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) of patrol and navy vessels.
Our role is to be a strong support to the engineering office and advise them on the construction solutions and functionality that the new ship maintenance base should have. This includes suggestions on the general layout of the buildings, the development of the harbor water area, and the functionality of each building. We will also provide recommendations on the equipment, machinery, and tools needed for offering the best ship repair and maintenance services.
The local weather conditions make this task more difficult than usual. For at least six months of the year, the temperature can exceed 40 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is crucial to find suitable cooling and ventilation solutions to ensure the safety of workers and the uninterrupted performance of equipment for daily ship maintenance service.
